Coachmen Chaparral Lite: Lightweight Comfort

One of the reasons I enjoy RVing is to get away from home. For me, it’s all about dropping everything and spending some time away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. No bills to worry about. I don’t have to worry about taking the trash out. I, especially, don’t have to think about waking up at any certain time. With that being said, I do enjoy a level of comfort when I’m out on a campsite. I enjoy an RV that’s built with the same quality of my home. It doesn’t have to be luxurious and covered in diamonds, for me to enjoy it. I just want as much thought that goes into designing a home, going into my RV. Coachmen took that building philosophy and make the Chaparral Lite fifth wheel series. I can enjoy all of the comforts of home and pull it with my half ton pickup truck. That’s a bonus for me!

Sleeping In Comfort

One thing I take very seriously is my sleep. If I’m not 100% comfortable, I can’t sleep. Coachmen makes sure to put a queen-sized bed standard in every Chaparral Lite RV. Not an “almost” queen, a full-fledged, 60″ x 80″ queen. Not only that, it’s a Serta, so you know it’s top-notch. You won’t find me with my feet hanging off the edge of the bed, that’s for sure.

Easier Maneuvering

With most fifth wheel RVs, you have to pull it with a full-size, one ton pickup truck. Not the Chaparral Lite series. I can pull it with my half-ton and not feel like I’m straining my transmission getting it to the campsite. With that in mind, they designed their front cap so I can maneuver it into place without bumping into the cab. No other fifth wheel will let me take a 90 degree turn!

Keeping It Cool

Here in Texas, it get’s awfully hot. I’m not talking a little warm, I’m talking “fry an egg on the sidewalk” hot. Good thing the Chaparral Lite series comes with a 13,500 BTU, ducted air conditioning unit. After a day out on the lake, I just want to cool down and take it easy. If I’m still sweating when I come inside, then I’m not a happy camper.

Plenty Of Extras

If you feel like spending a little more, you can enjoy some of the awesome featured extras! How does a 40″ TV grab you? What about a free-standing dinette set with 4 chairs? That one sounds like it’d come in handy when I’m taking the whole family. My favorite? The La-Z-Boy recliners. I don’t know about you, but I’m a recliner guy. As soon as I sit in one, I don’t want to get up. I will do everything in my power to avoid having to get out of my seat.

We’ve always got Coachmen Chaparral Lite RVs on the lot, so feel free to come by and check them out for yourself.
