You’ve got kids and adults both dressing up, candy all around and plenty of parties to go to. If you’re out on vacation with your RV, you can still have fun, even though you aren’t home. Here are a few tips to make your Halloween the most fun it can be while you’re away from home.

1. Put together a Halloween party

Just because you’re at a campsite doesn’t mean you can’t have a fun party! Make some fliers to hand out to all of the RVers in the park and get ready for a fun time. Make sure everyone dresses up, kids and adults. Of course, you’ll need plenty of candy and food to go along with it! Decorate your RV to look like a haunted house. What better way to enjoy the holiday and get to know your neighbors?

2. Take the kids trick-or-treating.

People who are RVing are just as aware that it’s Halloween as they would be otherwise. So, dress those kids up and take them out for a fun night of trick-or-treating. Of course, you will always want to be safe when you’re out at night, just as you would if you were at home. Don’t knock on RVs that don’t look like they are wanting company (i.e. no outside lights on). Always check with the office at the RV park where you are, most of them will arrange a Halloween trick-or-treat event so everyone is prepared.

3. Organize a yard haunt

Double check with the offices at your campground and see if you can put together a yard haunt! If you’ve never seen one, they are basically a fenced off area that has monsters, jack-o-lanterns, witches and skeletons inside of it. It’s a haunted house, but outside. Your RV would be the talk to the town when Halloween comes around. Put some time and effort into it, after all, it only happens once a year!

4. Try a new recipe

Halloween is a great time to try out some new recipes for cookies, brownies and just about any other sweet treat you can think of. Who doesn’t love cookies with little ghosts in them or pumpkin flavored brownies? You might want to leave the kids at home for this one.

6. Rent A Scary Movie

If you don’t feel like dressing up, then be sure you’ve got a bag of microwave popcorn and a copy of The Exorcist,Amityville Horror or any other horror movie and just call it a movie night. There’s nothing wrong with staying in and enjoying a movie with your spouse. You might want to put the kids to bed early though, these movies are pretty spooky!

These are just a couple of ideas on how to enjoy your Halloween when you’re out on the road.
