Nestled in the center of our great state is one of the best getaways that we have to offer. Hill Country, just outside of Austin and San Antonio is home to wineries, lakes, attractions and entertainment. It’s also home to some of the most popular tourist attractions in the state!

How Do I Get There?

Hill Country is not just one city, it’s a handful of them that fall in close proximity. Just outside of Austin and San Antonio are the cities of Marble Falls, Blanco, Burnet, Fredericksburg and more. These cities make up the cultural area that is known as Hill Country. Headed south on Interstate 35 from our headquarters in Cleburne, Texas, you’ll hit your destination after about 2 hours of driving, depending on where in Hill Country you’re staying.

What is there to do?

If you’re looking for a relaxing weekend, full of wine tasting, lakes and authentic Texas fare, then you’re in the right place. There are numerous wineries located along Highway 290 through Fredericksburg and they are constantly having festivals, wine stomps and tasting parties. If you’re a wine connoisseur, then you’re in the right place.

One of the main attractions of Hill Country is the abundance of outdoor activities. You’ll be within a short drive, wherever you may park your RV, from one of the lakes and rivers that snake their way through the lands. Swimming, tubing, fishing, and just about any other water sport is all at your fingertips. Lake Travis, Lake LBJ and Buchanan Lake are just a few miles from each other and connected by a river.

Here in Texas, we’re proud of our food. If you’re looking for an authentic taste of Texas, you’ll get it here. Texas is the home of Tex-Mex and you’ll be able to find plenty of great little diners that serve amazing dishes full of flavor in an atmosphere unlike anywhere else.

Just a short drive away are two of Texas’ most vibrant cities: San Antonio and Austin. You can visit the Riverwalk, the Alamo and La Villita in San Antonio one day then head to Austin to enjoy Sixth Street, the Capitol and Zilker Park on the next! You’ll be sure to keep everyone in your vacation party happy with such an overwhelming list of places to go and things to see.
