Camping Recipes: BBQ Pork Chop Foil Packs

An easy way to get a bunch of meals out of the way while camping is to freeze foil packet meals that are easy to clean and hearty to eat. This BBQ Pork Chop Foil is an easy meal that will help you recover after a long day of hiking. 

BBQ Porkchop Foil Pack: serving size 3

Ingredients:

  • Heavy duty aluminum
  • 3/4 BBQ Sauce
  • 1/4 Ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 2 tsp Canola oil
  • 1 tsp Chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 pinch of Cajun season
  • 1 pinch of Italian seasoning
  • 3 6oz boneless pork chops
  • 8 small red potatoes, quartered
  • 1 head of broccoli, bite-size piece

Instructions: 

  • Preheat Oven to 425 while also tearing 3 large sheets of aluminum
  • Whisk all of your seasonings together in a large bowl
  • Dip your pork chops are thoroughly coated and then place in the center of the foil; repeat with the remaining pork chops
  • Add potatoes and broccoli to sauce and mix until coated, then separate into equal portions
  • Fold foil packets and place them in Ziplocs to freeze for a later date
  • After being defrosted, cook for 30-35 minutes until cooked through
