Christy’s Donuts Kolaches

You’ll only find the classics at this old-fashioned donut shop, but sometimes the classics are just what you need. Christy’s can get busy and after taking a look at their menu there’s no surprise why—plus at $6.99/dozen you can try a good variety in one trip. A recent family taste test revealed the Chocolate Cake donut as top-contender for Best Donut at Christy’s, and with so many choices you’ll be sure to find your own favorite.

1103 West Grey Street, Houston, TX 77019

Home Cut Donuts

My personal favorite, Home Cut Donuts is home to classic donuts at a classic price. Just stepping into Home Cut is like stepping back in time, this place is bright and cheery and the staff is too. As someone who loves decadant donuts, I really love the classic donut—so just imagine how delicious the rest of the menu is.

6807 Stewart Road, Galveston, TX 77551

The Original Donut Shop

Locals are fiercely loyal to this San Antonio spot. A fusion of donuts and Tex-Mex make this the perfect  place to satisfy not only your sweet tooth, but your hunger, as well. Loved for their quirky donut creations (try the Fruity Pebble donut!), The Original Donut Shop is popular for their breakfast tacos too.

3307 Fredericksburg Road, San Antonio, TX 78021

Pilaski’s Donuts

Pilaski’s in Arlington is home to quite possibly the best decorated donuts in Texas. Kids love picking out donut holes decorated with their favorite cartoon characters, and their mini cinnamon buns are adorable and tasty.

4201 W Green Oaks Blvd #400, Arlington, TX 76016

Round Rock Donuts

A review of the best donuts in Texas just wouldn’t be complete without including Round Rock Donuts. The iconic orange-hued donuts have been made with the same recipe since 1926—an impressive history to go along with a delicious treat.

106 West Liberty Ave, Round Rock, TX 78664
